Supervision

Professional supervision gives you the opportunity to reflect on your work in a focused and supportive environment. We discuss the issues most relevant for you at the time, including challenges, successes, safety and ethical concerns. We explore relevant theories, tools, as well as professional development and needs for self-care.

The focus is on reflecting on your work and accessing your own wisdom and insights. I use a strengths-based framework to help ensure it is a constructive process, building your confidence and effectiveness. Together we pay attention to all dimensions of your wellbeing. A clear supervision contract and regular reviews also support the process.

I have been a professional supervisor for well over a decade and worked with Occupational Therapists, Nurses and ‘People working with People’. I have been the Professional Advisor for Occupational Therapy at Waitemata DHB for 7 years and have a wide experience in the three Auckland DHBs, AUT, Hospice, community organizations and private businesses.

It is important to find the right supervisor, please feel free to get in touch with me and ask me questions to help with your decision.
